The lagoon is home to a unique mangrove forest with an area of over 500 hectares, with a great potential to attract domestic and foreign tourists.
The two grey and red species of mangrove that grow up in this wetland appear and disappear with the ebb and flow of the sea, which is a breeding ground for aquatic species as well as marine birds.
