Iranian official calls Trump an ‘arrogant merchant’

Tasnim – A special aide to Iran’s parliament speaker lambasted US President Donald Trump as an arrogant businessman with contradictory actions and statements.

Trump is an arrogant merchant who covertly talks with regional countries about the fall of the Islamic Republic, threatens Iran with war in a propaganda campaign, and begs for negotiations with Iran in practice, Director General of International Affairs at the Iranian Parliament Hossein Amir Abdollahian said in a meeting with a group of Arab politicians on Sunday.

He also lashed out at Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates for financing US and Israeli plots, saying the main objective of the US-Israel-Saudi triangle is to clinch the so-called deal of the century in Palestine.

Deploring the US political pressures, sanctions and psychological warfare against the axis of resistance, Amir Abdollahian said the Zionist regime of Israel would not dare to wage a new war in the region.

In comments in June, Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani warned that the US peace plan for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is aimed at obliterating the Palestinian cause, saying it was nothing but an illusion.
