IRNA -- Deputy commander of Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) said that Americans have failed to realize their security and political goals in the Islamic world, and 'today we are witnessing the collapse of the US power'.

Addressing the first National Congress of Martyrs of Alborz Province on Friday night, Brigadier General Hossein Salami said, 'The US president recently announced that the US spent $seven trillion but gained no achievement and is seeking to reduce Iran's regional influence.'

He went on to say, 'The US is ignorant that Iran's influence is not limited to military power, because we have no permanent military base in any country, but we are at the invitation of governments as consultants.'

He stressed that the free nation of Iran has reversed all the calculations because the history of this nation proves that Iran stood against the war and economic invasion of the enemies of the nation and it was a great and wonderful victory for the whole world.

Salami said Iranian nation is today under the pressure of all the big and small devils, but they are watching the events with awareness and faith.

The IRGC deputy commander noted, 'We are under economic pressure for many years, and had any other country, even the United States, been under these pressures it would have been collapsed.'
