IRNA – The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in a statement slammed September 22 terrorist attack in southwestern Iran.
In its statement which was released on Sunday, Hamas voiced condolences over the death of a number of Iranians including women and children in the attack.
Hamas expresses its deepest condolences and sympathies with the Iranian people, government and the families of the victims of the crime and wishes immediate recovery for the injured people, the statement reads.
Hamas extended hope for Iran and other Arab and Islamic countries to enjoy security and stability.
At least 25 people were killed and more than 60 others injured during Saturday morning terror attack in Ahvaz which took place during a military parade held to mark the 38th anniversary of an eight-year imposed war against Iran.
“The terrorists disguised as the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and Basiji (volunteer) forces opened fire at the authorities and people from behind the stand during the parade,’ Governor of Khuzestan Gholam-Reza Shariati said.
The self-proclaimed Saudi-affiliated Al-Ahwaz terrorist group claimed the responsibility for the attack.
