IRNA — Acting Deputy head of Army’s public relations department of Iran says a joint parade of the Army and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Air Force will be held over the Persian Gulf waters and Oman Sea on the occasion of Sacred Defense Week (September 22-28).
Speaking on the sidelines of the joint exercise of the Air Forces of the Army and the IRGC, Colonel Youssef Safipour said on Tuesday, ‘It will be the second joint airborne parade of the two forces.’
He stated, ‘Nine F-4s, four Mirage, 6 Sukhoi-22, four Tucano, three Yak-12s, three chinook helicopters, and two 212 helicopters are showcased in the joint exercise.
Safipour said, ‘This exercise, in addition to displaying power, is a message of peace and friendship for friends and neighbors.’
The military official stated, ‘If enemies and arrogance threaten the Islamic Iran, they will receive a harsh response within a fraction of a second.’
The second airborne military parade will be held on September 22 to display the strength of the armed forces, protect the Islamic Republic sky and commemorate the Holy Defense Week.
