Turkey president departs for Iran

IRNA Turkish president on Friday morning departed Ankara for Tehran to attend the trilateral meeting with his Iranian and Russian counterpart.


During his one-day official visit to Iran, Recep Tayyip Erdogan is scheduled to attend a trilateral meeting with the presence of President Hassan Rouhani of Iran as well as President Vladimir Putin of Russia to discuss Syria crisis.

Erdogan is also expected to have bilateral talks with Putin on the sidelines of the trilateral talks.

Rouhani, Putin and Erdogan are to attend a meeting on Friday for exchange of views on the process of fighting terrorism and establishing security in Syria.
