Major refinery project makes Iran unsanctionable in petrol supply: Veep

SHANA — First-Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri said Persian Gulf Star Gas Condensate Refinery would render Iran unsanctionable in petrol production and supply once fully operational.

Speaking on Monday, the official said the project, which is also known as Bandar Abbas Gas Condensate Refinery, will play a major part in gasoline production of the country.

The plant is being developed in three phases each being constructed with 12 million liters per day of petrol production capacity. So far two phases of the project have come online and the final phase is scheduled to become operational by the end of the current Iranian calendar year to March 20.

He further said the gasoline produced domestically is of high quality and meets environmental standards in the world.
