Financial Tribune - Some three million trips involving 1.6 million passengers are made via Tehran Subway per day, a board member of Tehran Urban and Suburban Railway Operation Company said.

�Tehran Subway will stretch across 300 kilometers by the end of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2019), when lines 6 and 7 come on stream. The subway has 116 stations with 1,250 wagons,� Ali Abdollahpour was also quoted as saying by Mehr News Agency.

Some 10,000 people, he added, are employed in Tehran Subway.
