China, Germany believe killing JCPOA will be harmful

IRNA Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang in a joint news conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Monday stressed the need for keeping JCPOA, saying that killing the deal will have unpredictable consequences.


Merkel also reiterated support for the deal, saying that the agreement is the outcome of constructive talks to which signatories should remain committed.

There are still other cases to be discussed with the Iranians but it is better to stay in the international pact, she said.

She also said that it will up to the companies themselves whether to continue cooperation with Iran or not.

The Chinese premier arrived in Berlin at the head of a political and economic delegation.

The two high-ranking officials met just few days after a high-profile meeting on JCPOA in Vienna where participating ministers in a statement stressed the need for fulfilling commitments in various fields including maintaining financial channels and preserving Irans oil and gas condensates exports.
