Tasnim– An official with Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization (CAO) said an aircraft, said to be US-registered, that recently landed at Tehran’s Mehrabad Airport had been hired by an Indian merchant.
On Saturday, some reports said the aircraft that landed at the airport about a week ago was a US-registered plane.
Speaking to Tasnim, Head of the CAO public relations office, Reza Jafarzadeh, said Mehrabad Airport is an international airport with all needed infrastructure.
He said that after Imam Khomeini International Airport was launched, international flights were transferred to that airport, located 30 kilometers southwest of Tehran.
However, Jafarzadeh added, Mehrabad Airport still provides services to commercial and personal jets.
He also said that the mentioned plane was hired by an Indian merchant.
