IRNA � Swiss Ambassador to the UN Jurg Lauber described President Hassan Rouhani�s visit to his country as a major towards promoting bilateral relations, saying that Switzerland is interested in preserving Iran nuclear deal known as the JCPOA.


Talking to IRNA on Tuesday, he hailed Tehran-Bern excellent, constructive and long-standing ties, saying that they have always had interaction with each other.

Asked whether the visit had a message to the international community to keep the deal, he said that of course that�s the case and all should endeavor to maintain the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.

Rouhani visited two European states including Switzerland at a time when Washington is trying to isolate Iran.

Rouhani arrived in Vienna late Tuesday on the second leg of his two-nation tour of Europe.

During his visit to Switzerland, Rouhani met with his Swiss counterpart Alain Berset, discussing latest developments in the region and world.
