MNA Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi has strongly condemned Wed. Saudi and Emirati coalition strikes on a wedding ceremony in Yemen's province of Saada, calling it another dark chapter in war crimes charges of the two countries.

Ghasemi expressed his deep sympathywith the bereaved families of thevictims of the violent and inhumane action, adding "whenever the aggressors face defeat at the battlefields, they take revenge from innocent Yemeni women and children through the escalation of air attacks.

Nearly a dozen people have lost their lives and several others sustained injuries when Saudi fighter jets carried out airstrikes against a wedding convoy in Yemens northwestern mountainous province of Saada.

Thisis just the latest wedding massacre carried out by Saudi coalition forces. The coalition has illegally treated all of Saada as a military target for three years, and it has routinely struck civilian targets ever since.

USmilitary aid to the coalition contributes a lotto the escalation of attacks against civilian targets. US provides the coalition with unconditional backing for its campaign and refusing to criticize them for their war crimes.

There is no excuse for providing weapons and fuel to governments that slaughter people in their homes, schools, markets, and during their wedding celebrations.
