Speaking at a conference of economic and trade activists of Iran and Switzerland in Bern which was also attended by his Swiss counterpart, the Iranian president said that constructive interaction with the world is the key element of Iran's foreign policy.
'We have never taken a step to harm a country and will never do so in the future,' President Rouhani said, adding that Iran respects the international regulations, including its commitments with regard to non-proliferation of nuclear weapons.
'We declare to the whole world that Iran wants fair legal relations with the world in a peaceful and sustainable manner, we will play our part very well in this regard,' the president said.
President Rouhani began his first visit to Europe after the US withdrawal from Iran nuclear deal on Monday upon official invitations by his Swiss and Austrian counterparts.
