Iran ready to develop economic infrastructures with EU

MNA Iranian Vice-President for Science and Technology Sorena Sattari said that Iran is ready to cooperate with member states of European Union to establish required infrastructures and channels for promotion of economic and technological ties.

He made the remarks on Thursday in the 2nd International Iran-Europe Economic and Technological Conference held in Brussels, Belgium.

Iran ranks first in the region regarding the production of biopharmaceutical and they are exported to dozens of countries across the world, he added.

Sattari went on to say that Iran is among top 5 countries of the world which have the most growth in entrepreneurship rate between 2016 and 2017.

Irans global ranking in scientific productions has had a significant hike from 34 to 16, while standing at top of regions ranking, he noted.

The Iranian official further added that Irans share in developing the fields of biotechnology, nanotechnology, renewable energy, cognitive sciences and stem cell have experienced a unique growth.

The 2nd International Iran-Europe Economic and Technological Conference is currently underway in Brussels on June 21-22 with the aim of countering fears of doing business with Iran after the US withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
