MNA – The Deputy Commander of Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Hossein Salami said here on late Thurs. that Iran holds the security of all energy reserves in the region.
Speaking in a ceremony to commemorate Shahid Chamran, held at the venue of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, he said, “in the meantime, university lecturers play a very important role in this respect, because, academicians can lead minds of people in society towards prosperity and influence thoughts to a great extent. Under such circumstances, the country needs strengthening the intellectual principles.”
He further pointed to the outstanding position of Iran both in regional and international arenas and said, “Islamic Republic of Iran is progressing day by day and the said issue caused enemies to stand against this move. For this purpose, the country is currently facing more and new challenges with enemies.”
Nowadays, enemies try to wage psychological war against the country, so that logical steps should be taken in this regard in order to thwart conspiracies of enemies.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Salami pointed to the recent talks held between US President Trump and North Korean leader and said, “the move indicates that US is losing its political standing in the international arena.”
Deputy Commander of Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Hossein Salami pointed to the US pullout from Iran’s nuclear deal dubbed ‘JCPOA’ and said, “US thinks that it can exert more economic pressure against Iran by its withdrawal from JCPOA, but actually, US cannot exert more pressure on the country under the pretext of moving out of JCPOA .”
