Israel facing legitimacy crisis: Iranian official
IRNA The Zionist regime of Israel is facing a crisis of legitimacy on the international scene, a senior Iranian official said on Friday.

'When a regime lacks legitimacy, its capital will be meaningless, and certainly more illegitimate,' Secretary of Iran's Expediency Council Mohsen Rezaei told reporters while taking part in the Quds Day rally in Tehran.

He said that the crisis has become so acute that some European countries have recently boycotted the Israeli products, and they even have canceled games with Israeli teams.

Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, on August 7, 1979, designated the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as the Quds Day and the day of Islam's life.

Millions of Iranians took part in the nationwide Quds Day rallies on Friday to express their solidarity with the Palestinians.

People in some other countries also expressed their support for the Palestinians through similar moves.
