JCPOA joint commission to meet in Vienna Friday

IRNA – European Union (EU) in a statement said that the JCPOA joint commission meeting is to be held in Vienna on Friday in the presence of representatives from Britain, Germany, France, China, Russia and EU foreign policy deputy chief.

The statement said the meeting aims to study the consequences of the US exit from JCPOA and holds consultations on mechanisms to continue implementation of the deal.

Secretary General of European External Action Service Helga Schmid is to chair the meeting.

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi will head the Iranian delegation to the meeting.

Araqchi arrived in Vienna on Thursday morning and is to hold bilateral meetings with Schmid and heads of other delegations.
