IRNA – Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif in a Twitter message on Thursday wished a blessed Ramadan, away from hatred and enmity for the entire region.
‘Ramadan is a time of reflection & self-examination. Our troubled region faces a crucial crossroad: to continue on destructive path of enmity & hatred pursued by men who aspire to dominate; or to set aside egos & join hands to build a strong Ummah. Wishing all a blessed Ramadan,’ Zarif said in his tweet on the first day of the holy fasting month of Ramadan.
Most Muslim countries began the holy month of Ramadan in the dawn of May 17. Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar that is observed by the Muslims worldwide by abstaining from certain acts, mainly eating and drinking.
