UK: JCPOA inspection system effective

IRNA The system of observation and inspection provided in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action is a strong and comprehensive method for verification of Iran's commitment, said the British Prime Minister Theresa May's spokesman James Slack in reaction to Israeli's prime minter's claims against Iran on Tuesday.

Talking to the media and saying that the UK has never been naive during the negotiations of the JCPOA, Slack added the International Atomic Energy's observation system is a vital method for verification of Iran's commitment to the deal.

Benjamin Netanyahu put on a supremely mockable show on Monday, saying he is going to show something that the world has never seen.

Claiming 'even after the deal, Iran continued to preserve and expand its nuclear know-how for future use,' he showed some shelves filled with files and CDs and said that Iran has hidden the documents of its secret attempt to reach atomic bombs in the nonnuclear area and intends to use them to make the bomb.

Spokesman of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran Bahram Qasemi said on Monday the leaders of Israel see the survival of their 'lie-based illegitimate regime' in using threadbare charlatanism to show other countries as threats.

Qasemi referred to the 'ridiculous propaganda' of the Zionist regime prime minister in one of his latest 'repetitive series of unprofessional and shameful plays' about Iran's secret nuclear program as 'fruitless efforts of a bankrupt and scandalous liar.'

He urged Netanyahu and the scandalous child-killer regime of Israel to know 'that people around the globe have enough understanding, awareness and intelligence.'

Earlier, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has compared Netanyahu to a liar shepherd who wants to tell lies over Irans nuclear drive.

UN nuclear watchdog IAEA has on several occasions verified peaceful nature of Irans nuclear program under the JCPOA, to which Iran has remained committed since it went into force.

On Sunday, British prime ministers office reiterated in a statement that UK, French and German leaders have agreed that JCPOA is still the best option which should be preserved.

The JCPOA stands for Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, the official name of the agreement reached between Iran and six world major powers in 2015 to give Tehran sanctions relief in return for scaling back its nuclear program.

US President Donald Trump is slated to make his decision over sanctions waivers on May 12 and announce staying in or leaving the deal. He has already warned that if JCPOA is not amended, the US will quit the deal.

The JCPOA was signed between Iran and six world major powers in 2015 to give Tehran sanctions relief in return for scaling back its nuclear program.
