IRNA � The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution said that undoubtedly, the Palestinians will win over the Zionists and Palestine will be returned to the Palestinian nation.


'Resistance against oppression will certainly lead to progress, a clear example of which is the Palestinian nation that was initially a weak nation but� through resistance� has now turned into a strong Palestine,' Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said Saturday in an address to a group of Iranian officials and ambassadors of the Islamic countries to Iran on the occasion of Mab'ath, marking the appointment of Holy Prophet of Islam Mohammad (PBUH) to his divine mission.

The Leader noted that 'The Zionist regime feels desperate before the Palestinian nation.'

'Undoubtedly, the Palestinians will win over the Zionists and Palestine will be returned to the Palestinian nation,' he added.

Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks while elaborating on the importance of regional resistance against the outside powers in particular the US which attacked Syria today.

Syria is part of axis of resistance and it is for seven years that the country has been suffering from foreign sponsored terrorism.

The US together with its allies, the UK and France targeted the Syrian capital city of Damascus early Saturday.

The US attack on a military base in Homs, western Syria injured 3 civilians, Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) earlier reported.
