Sputnik - Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has vowed that the country's response to the possible US withdrawal from the deal will be stronger than imagined.




Last week, it was reported that the EUhad no plans torenegotiate the 2015 nuclear deal withIran despitecalls fromthe Trump administration.

It was also said that three EU powers, namely the UK, Germany and France had been intalks withthe US administration onhow topersuade President Donald Trump toextend sanction waivers forIran pastthe May 12 deadline afterhe threatened topull his country outof the Joint Comprehensive Plan ofAction (JCPOA) if it is not fixed.

At the same time,Iranian Foreign MinisterMohammad Javad Zarif warned the United States againstthe painful mistake ofwithdrawing fromthe 2015 Iran nuclear deal, asDonald Trump has repeatedly denounced the agreement,threatening tounilaterally pull outof itif it is not revisedcalling it a terrible Iran nuclear deal.

The deal toguarantee the peaceful nature ofIran's nuclear program was signed onJuly 14, 2015, afterthe talks betweenIran and the P5+1 group. Under this agreement, Iran promised tonot seek todevelop or acquire nuclear weapons inexchange forthe lifting ofsanctions imposed againstIran.
