Iran’s top officials, EU chief react to recent Israelis atrocities in Gaza Strip

April 1, The Iran Project – Several high-ranking Iranian officials along with world leadersncensured recent killings of Palestinians by the Zionist regime during the peaceful protests held by Palestinians in Gaza Strip. Israeli military forces killed 15 Palestinians most of whom under 16 and injured about 1,500 others.

Iranian officials including Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, Parliament Speaker Ali Larijan, Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi as well as Majlis (Parliament) Speaker’s Special Aide Hussein Amir Abdollahian as well as Islamic Revolution’s Guards Corps (IRGC) strongly slammed the recent Zionists atrocities against Palestinians.

Also, U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has called for an independent investigation into Friday (March 30) bloodshed.

His appeal was echoed by Federica Mogherini, the European Union’s foreign policy chief, Amnesty International, and by Tamar Zandberg, leader of Israel’s left-wing opposition Meretz party.

Mogherini in a statement urged ending of closure in Gaza Strip.

“The EU reiterates its calls for an end to the closure of Gaza and a full opening of the crossing points, while addressing Israel’s legitimate security concerns,” the statement reads.

This is while according to AFP, the US on Saturday (March 31) prevented adoption of a statement in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) against the Zionist regime of Israel. The motion proposed by Kuwait, a non-permanent member of the UNSC, called for an independent probe into killing Palestinians by the Zionist forces in Gaza Strip on Friday.

The Iranian foreign minister in a Twitter message released on Saturday (March 31) wrote,” On the eve of Passover (of all days), which commemorates God liberating Prophet Moses and his people from tyranny, Zionist tyrants murder peaceful Palestinian protesters—whose land they have stolen—as they march to escape their cruel and inhuman apartheid bondage.”

Larijani, the current Chairman of PUIC, issued a statement condemning the murdering of Palestinian demonstrators in Gaza strip.

“The only language that the terrorists ruling in Tel Aviv can understand is the language of force and resistance is only solution to counter the ambitious ends of the Zionist regime,” reads the statement issued by Larijani.

Meanwhile, Qassemi denounced racist Israeli forces’ brutal killing and wounding of dozens of Palestinians in the occupied territories.

“Although the Zionist regime (of Israel) has a long record in occupation, killing and (committing) crimes, Mr. Trump and the US ruling elites’ unwavering support as well as shameful efforts by some regional leaders in order to establish overt, covert, disgraceful and ignominious relations with the (Israeli) regime have unfortunately further emboldened Zionist regime leaders to turn Palestinian youth’s peaceful rally into a bloodbath on the Eve of Passover,” said the spokesman.

The Majlis Speaker’s special aide urged the international organizations and freedom loving people across the world to condemn the Zionist regime’s barbaric and inhumane actions and sympathize with the Palestinian nation.

Besides, IRGC in a statement strongly condemned the Zionists’ crimes in killing Palestinians protestors.

he new crimes committed by the racist Zionist regime by killing over 1,400 Palestinians in a peaceful protest march in Gaza Strip, under backing of the US and its European and regional allies once again indicated that the Zionists are afraid of the outbreak of new Intifada and of the capacities of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance, the statement said.
