Iran judiciary stresses pursuing London embassy attack

IRNA – Iran’s judiciary spokesman on Sunday underlined pursing the case of recent attack on Iranian embassy in London.

Speaking in a weekly press briefing, Gholam-Hossein Mohseni Ejei described the so-called Shirazi cult’s behavior as ‘sedition’ and noted that the cult which is supported by the UK is pursuing discord among followers of various Islamic sects.

He criticized the UK police for not adopting enough measures to protect the Iranian embassy and said that the Iranian Foreign Ministry and the Judiciary power’s international relations’ department are pursuing the case.

In the wake of recent attack on the Iranian Embassy in London, Iranian Foreign Ministry summoned the UK envoy to Tehran Nicholas Hopton.

Meanwhile, a spokesman in the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office said that London will seriously take its duties based on the Geneva Conventions.
