Consensus among JCPOA Joint Commission members versus US: Dy FM

IRNA - Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said Friday there was a complete consensus among JCPOA Joint Commission members versus US on the need to fully implement the Iran nuclear deal with good intention.


Speaking to reporters at the end of Friday's meeting of the JCPOA Joint Commission in Vienna, Araqchi said all participants in the session expressed their willingness to continue implementing the deal.

Even the American delegates present in the meeting reiterated their commitment to the JCPOA and said they will implement the deal as long as their current consultations come to a conclusion, he said.

The Iranian deputy foreign minister said the session mainly focused on sanctions and the need to create a constructive cimate for implementation of the 2015 Iran nuclear deal with G5+1 officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.

The Iranian team comprising representatives of the Central Bank of Iran, Atomic Energy Organization, Iran Aviation Organization and other organs offered a detailed report on US breaches of the JCPOA and its delays in issuing necessary permits in the field of aviation and purchase of airplanes as enshrined in the deal, he said.

In the meeting, Araqchi said, all members of the commission appreciated Iran's commitment to the deal and welcomed cooperating with in Iran in the field of peaceful nuclear energy.

The 11th JCPOA Joint Commission meeting began in Vienna Friday and lasted for three hours.
