Iran, Russia FMs discuss regional issues on phone

IRNA – Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov discussed bilateral relations and regional developments in a phone conversation.

The two sides talked on bilateral and regional issues, Caspian Sea, and the Russia’s veto at the UN.

Russia on Monday voted against an anti-Iran resolution at the UN Security Council.

The Britain-drafted resolution, supported by the US, accused Iran of violating UN arms embargo on Yemen.

Washington in a recent series of attempts has targeted Iran’s missile capabilities, accusing Tehran of sending missiles to the Yemeni forces. Iran has rejected the allegations.
