Qatari FM stresses significance of negotiating with Iran

IRNA – Qatari Foreign Minister Mohammad bin Abdularahman bin Jasim Al-Thani emphasized the importance of holding dialogue with the Islamic Republic of Iran, saying that Iran is a fact in the region.

Talking to the French newspaper Le Figaro, Qatari FM, who is also deputy prime minister of the Arab country underscored that the regional talks should be held in a civilized way, with respect to the sovereignty and collective security of all countries, different from policies followed so far by Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

On relations between Doha and Tehran, he said although there are differences between the two counties, the problems should be identified and solved through dialogue.

He added that the tensions in relations of Qatar and its neighbors is just one of the crises in the region, so they have to negotiate in order to attain a common understanding.
