10-month output of Bidboland gas refinery up 25% Y/Y

SHANA - Iran's Bidboland Gas Refinery has processed a total of 6 billion cubic meters of natural gas over the course of the first 10 months of the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 21, up 25% from the same period last year.

Speaking to Shana, Ali Mohammad Pourreza said the facility supplied about 6 bcm of gas in 10 months, adding, "we had about 25 percent increase in production, which was achieved by obtaining the maximum amount of natural gas from the joint South Pars gas field."

He said the gas was fed to the plant through the fifth gas trunkline of the country (IGAT-5), adding the refinery's output during this period reached 6,300 million cubic meters, with 3 billion of which, 16% up year-on-year, being provided from South Pars.

The refinery processed an average of about 18 million cubic meters of gas per day during the period, Pourreza said.

This is while the plant has the capacity of processing 27 million cubic meters/day of natural gas, he added.
