“Russia satisfies with level of interactions with Iran”

ISNA– Russian ambassador to Tehran expressed satisfaction over the level of Tehran-Moscow interactions, stressing that he doesn’t want to even think about leaving US from Iran nuclear deal.

In an interview broadcasted on Iranian television, Russia’s ambassador to Tehran Levan Dzhagaryan expressed his satisfaction with the level of interactions between Tehran and Moscow, saying that Russia is a champion of peace and has always had good relations with Iran and cooperation between the two countries is rapidly growing.

With regard to the statements by US President Donald Trump on Iran nuclear agreement known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), he said, “We don’t agree with the criticisms made by Trump because Iran has fully complied with its nuclear commitments, as the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and Western countries have declared, so the US government and the Congress should respect the agreement because their exit would be dangerous for the world and America itself”.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran is one of the factors in establishing security and stability in the region and we have regular consultations with Tehran on the Caspian Sea, Afghanistan and Syria and we hope these consultations will continue in future,” Mr. Dzhagaryan pointed out.

Rejecting the US allegations that Iran supports terrorism, he said, “Iran is the victim of terrorism and we have seen this on the eastern and western borders of this country. On the contrary, Iran is currently fighting in Syria alongside the Russia and Syrian government forces, so these allegations are not true”.

“We want to maintain our strategic relations with Iran and this is our national will” the Russian ambassador to Tehran went on to say.

“We are ready to strengthen our cooperation with Iran in this field,” he said about the cooperation between Iran and Russia in the field of nanotechnology.

About peace and stability in Iran, Dzhagaryan said, “Iran is the most secure country in the region while surrounded by insecure countries such as Afghanistan and Syria. Iran also enjoys economic and political stability”.
