Finnish company to invest in Irans dairy industries

IRNA A Finnish company is planning to export to Iran technologies for development of dairy industries such as butter production.

An exporter of dairy products told Islamic Republic News Agency on Monday that Finnish Agriculture Ministry wants to have interaction with Iran via transfer of experiences to the country.

Amir Eslamnejad added that Finnish company Valio which is one of the leading European and Finnish dairy companies with a history of over 110 years has a strategic attitude towards the Iranian market.

It intends to expand its activities to other Middle Eastern states from Iran, he said, noting that the companys investment is aimed at producing quality products through transfer technology to Iran.

Eslamnejad further noted that the company is active in Finland, Sweden and Germany.

He said that 90 percent of butter consumed in Iran is imported from other countries, particularly New Zealand, noting that one of the areas of activities of the company is butter production in the country.

We are trying to import butter production technology to Iran, he said, noting that Iran can play a crucial role in exporting dairies to regional states.

He also said that the director general of Finland Agriculture Ministry will come to Iran on Tuesday to attend a seminar on production cycle and dairy exports to Iran.

Three top Finnish universities operating in the fields of dairy, education and breeding are to take part in the one-day seminar.
