February 6, The Iran Project - Recently, several foreign officials have emphasized the significant of supporting the nuclear deal Iran has signed with major world powers, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Specialist in international relations, government affairs, and legislative politics, James George Jatras and Norway�s Ambassador to Iran Lars Nordrum have voiced their endorsement for the bill.

Russian and French foreign minister in a telephone conversation late on Monday (Feb. 5) stressed the significant for full implementation of the 2015 nuclear deal.

Meanwhile, Jatras stressed that the US Congress is not inclined to withdraw from Iran's nuclear agreement, but it is willing to modify the deal, adding that the legislative body is evaluating the stances of their European allies.

Jatras forecasted that Trump administration is willing to modify the nuclear deal that Washington, along with other permanent UN Security Councils members signed with Iran in July 2015.

Also, the Norwegian diplomat in separate meeting with Iranian MP Ahmad Amirabadi Farahani and Chairman of the Committee for Foreign Policy and National Security in the Iranian Parliament Alaeddin Boroujerdi has voiced the Oslo willingness to back JCPOA.

�Norway welcomes the expansion of cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran in various fields," Nordrum stated, adding that "the two countries have made good progress in agriculture, fisheries, oil, gas, transportation and renewable energy relations."

Norwegian ambassador to Iran reiterated that "we are not part of the European Union, but we have always supported this agreement," adding that the nuclear deal �is an achievement for the NPT and a peaceful resolution of disputes.�

He said his country supports JCPOA and calls on all countries to abide by their commitments under the agreement.

In meantime, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said in a televised speech late on Monday that US President Donald Trump is very dissatisfied with the JCPOA and is attempting to find ways to kill the deal, noting that, �The US is trying to distort realities but the JCPOA is part of the UN resolution 2231.�
