Iran, Philippines underline boosting energy cooperation

IRNA – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Chairman of International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) Jose de Venecia emphasized reinforcing cooperation in energy and petrochemical field.

Both sides also stressed developing mutual cooperation in economic, energy and petrochemical fields and also reinforcing cooperation among ICAPP member-states.

The International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) is a forum of political parties of Asia-Pacific countries, which was launched in Manila Philippines in September 2000.

The objectives of the conference are to promote exchanges and cooperation between political parties from different countries in the area and with various ideologies; to enhance mutual understanding and trust among Asian countries; to promote Asia’s regional cooperation through the unique role and channel of political parties; and to create an environment for sustainable peace and shared propoperity in the region.

Jose de Venecia travelled to Iran to attend the 29th Meeting of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) Standing Committee and the 2nd Silk Road Conference held in Tehran on Feb 2 with the participation of Iranian and non-Iranian political figures.
