IRNA - Latest developments in the region and Syria were discussed in a meeting on Saturday between Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Jaberi Ansari.

Jaberi Ansari is scheduled to meet some other senior Syrian officials after his meeting with President Assad.

He had two other visits to Damascus in 2017 in which he held talks on the latest developments of Syria with Syrian President Assad, Syrian Prime Minister Imad Khamis and Deputy Foreign Minister of Syria Faisal Mekdad.
