Sputnik- The initiative of the United States and the E3 members of the nuclear deal with Iran (Germany, France and the United Kingdom) to launch a working group to address concerns around the agreement is unlikely to bring any positive results, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told Sputnik.

"[Moscow] does not expect any positive developments inthe light ofsuch decisions and possible agreements We do not believe that any agreements and understanding that might be achieved inthis format, withoutinvolving Iran and other parties tothe JCPOA, will have any impact interms ofmaintaining our position tosupport full implementation ofthe agreement withoutany adjustments," Ryabkov said.

He stressed that Moscow had repeatedly stated that the issue ofpotential "improvement" ofthe nuclear deal "is becoming clearly targeted atjeopardizing the deal, complicating its further implementation."
"But, ofcourse, we will follow this [issue], although we understand that these 'games' oftheUnited Statesand its European allies will not have any influence onour position, our approach totheJCPOAand the importance ofensuring its normal implementation inits current form," the diplomat stressed.

Moscow will consider a proposal tojoin the contact group onIran, if it receives any, butis concerned abouttrend towardclose and separate forms ofnegotiations, which the US and its Western partners have recently resorted to, Sergei Ryabkov stressed.

On Monday, US Secretary ofState Rex Tillerson announced that the working group comprising the US and EU diplomats had been established todiscuss approaches toIran and concerns withthe nuclear deal, also known asthe Joint Comprehensive Plan ofAction (JCPOA).
