Tehran Symphonic Orchestra performs in memory of Sanchi victims

IRNA – Tehran Symphonic Orchestra performed ‘rain drops’ piece in the Iranian capital in the memory of the victims of Sanchi tanker incident.

The performance was part of the 9th night of the 33rd Fajr Music Festival.

Tehran Symphonic Orchestra was conducted by acclaimed Iranian musician and conductor Shahrdad Rouhani.

Sanchi tanker carrying gas condensates collided with a Chinese freight ship in East China coast on Jan 6 when all the 32 crew members went missing. Three bodies were later found during a rescue operation.

The tanker finally sank on January 14 following eight days of burning. All the crew members were announced dead.
