China reiterates its support for Iran Deal

IRNA – China Foreign Ministry spokesman once again has expressed support for Iran nuclear deal known as Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

“China’s position is very clear. We always support the JCPOA, an important outcome of all parties’ strenuous efforts. We also hope that all relevant parties could fulfill their obligations in accordance with the JCPOA,” Lu Kang said Tuesday.

“China believes that the JCPOA is an important outcome of multilateralism and a model of resolving international hot-spot issues through political and diplomatic efforts,” he reiterated.

Kang went on to say that “ensuring the thorough implementation of the JCPOA is of great significance and relevance to upholding the peace and stability of the Middle East and the international non-proliferation regime and serves the fundamental interests of all relevant parties.”

Despite US President efforts to kill Iran nuclear accord, Chinese spokesman said, “We have also heeded that the international community universally supports the JCPOA and fully recognizes the efforts made by Iran to implement it.”

Trump, who had said his administration would decertify the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran, decided on Jan 12 to extend the sanctions waiver to the country for the third time as a part of the landmark deal.
