CIA denies complicity in Iran protests

MNA While US officials constantly supported recent protests in Iran, Director of CIA Mike Pompeo denied complicity in Iran riots.

Director of CIA Mike Pompeo hasadopted a stance similar to the antagonistic policies of other US politicians claimingIrans economic conditions led people to take to streets to voice their protests.

Pompeo claimed that unrest in Iran is not yet over and added it were Iranians who started the protests and remained persistent. They are after better living conditions and the separation between religion and the state.

Director of the Central Intelligence Agency Mike Pompeo said that the Islamic Republic of Iran is resistant to change and stated that Irans government ignores the demands of its people.

Pompeo made these remarks while the US government has resorted to every means for the last couple of days in order to debilitate the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

While UN Security Council has remained silent about major international upheavals such as war in Yemen and Myanmar crisis, it held an emergency session on US call in order to discuss recent events in Iran.

Imposing severe limitations for Iranians travelling to US, enforcing sanctions against Iranianofficials, making attempts to violate JCPOA and spreading lies about Iran Missile Defense Program are only instances of Washingtons antagonistic measures against Iran during the recent months.

Irans Attorney General Mohammad Jafar Montazeri discussed recent protests in certain cities in Iran and said these incidents are masterminded and directed by CIA and Mossad (the National Intelligence Agency of the Zionist Regime).
