IRNA � Iran exported 500 tons of steel rebar to Iraq for the first time, Trade Promotion Organization of Iran announced


South Rouhina Steel Complex sent 500 tons of rebar worth $250,000 to Iraq, Iranian trade attach� to Iraq Naser Behzad said on Wednesday.

'Exports to Iran have paved the way for sending standard goods,' he said.

South Rouhina Steel Complex has the capacity of producing about 500,000 tons of rebar per year and the figure will increase to 3 million tons in two years.

Establishment of South Rouhina Steel Complex (Iran rebar) started in 2010, on a 100-hectare land in Khouzestan province, located 7 kilometers from Dezful on Shoushtar road.

Rouhina Steel consisting of two steel rolling mill and steel making factory satisfying domestic needs has the utmost potential to be one of the main exporters of steel products.
