US' anti-JCPOA actions, wrong message to NKorea: Lavrov

IRNA US measures against Iran's nuclear agreement send a destructive message to the Korean Peninsula crisis, said the Russian minister of foreign affairs on Tuesday.

'The US position on the Iranian nuclear deal does not help with North Korea,' Sergey Lavrov told Russia Today.

Lavrov added, 'By undermining the Iranian deal Washington is sending a signal to Pyongyang: whatever denuclearization deal you may strike with us may be scrapped by a future administration.'

He had already warned that international agreements, including the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), better known as Iran Nuclear Deal, are in danger of being canceled.

Sputnik had quoted Lavrov as saying that if the deal cancels, it sends a bad message to those who are hopeful about the settlement of the Korean Peninsula crisis.

All the signatories of the Iran deal support it, except for the US President Donald Trump, who due to pressures from the Zionist regime and its lobby in the called it 'a bad agreement'. He did not confirm Iran's compliance with the deal, although it had been confirmed by the International Atomic Energy Agency 8 times.
