S.Korea to finance construction of 3 hospitals in Iran

IRNA Tehran and Seoul has agreed on construction of three hospitals in Iran, said Iranian Health Minister Hassan Ghazizadeh Hashemi on Thursday.

We have signed an agreement on building three hospitals, Hashemi told the correspondent of the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) upon arrival at the Incheon International Airport in the South Korean capital.

'This is a good opportunity for Iran to attract investments by the South Korean banks to generate employment in the country,' he added.

The Iranian health minister said that South Korea is very interested to engage with Iran.

'South Korea has made great achievements in the healthcare and medical sectors and it can share its expertise with Iran in this sphere,' Hashemi said.

He also expressed hope for the private sectors in the two countries to make the maximum use of the opportunity provided through cooperation between the two nations.

Hashemi is visiting the country on the invitation of his South Korean counterpart.

During his three-day stay in the southeast Asian country he is expected to take part in a conference on promoting medical and healthcare cooperation, pay a visit to a hospital, attend a Samsung medical and healthcare products fair in Seoul as well as holding a meeting with his South Korean counterpart.
