Saudi Arabia bombards Yemeni TV station, kills 4



Press TV- The Saudi-led coalition waging war on Yemen has attackedthe headquarters of the Yemen al-Youm TV channel in the capital, Sanaa, killing four people and injuring five others.

Yemensal-Masirahtelevision networkreported that in addition to the casualties, the Friday Saudi air raids caused serious damage to the building of the TV station and its equipment.

The building of the Yemen al-Youm TV channel had been targeted twice by Saudi jets over the last week.

The TV stationwas affiliated with the General Peoples Congress (GPC) of former president Ali AbdullahSaleh, who was killed on Monday.

Houthi fighters took over the TV station following clashes with the supporters of Saleh, who broke ranks with the Houthis in favor of Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi regime and its allies havebeen incessantly pounding Yemen since March 2015 in an attempt to crush the Houthi Ansarullah movement and reinstalla former regime that was staunchly allied with Riyadh. But the coalition has achieved neither of its goals.

The Saudi war, which has been accompanied by a land, naval, and aerial blockade of Yemen, has so far killed over 12,000 people and caused one of the worst humanitarian catastrophes in recent history.

The Saudi-led coalition hasintensified its airstrikes on Yemen after Salehs death.
