IRNA - Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali-Akbar Salehi said on Saturday that Iranian atomic energy scientists have achieved to make atomic battery.

�Iran is now among the five countries having this technology,� Salehi said and added that the battery is in the testing period to be completed.

He also said that the AEOI will try to unveil the product on the coming Iranian National Day of Atomic Energy, April 9, 2018.

The AEOI chief said the battery is very useful, especially in medicine; it can be planted in the body and since its lifespan is about 50 years, it can be a lifetime one.

He hoped to see it used in medicine and the equipment that need electricity in far distances in which electricity is not available.
