Spokesman: Iran officially protests US for murder of young Iranian

IRNA Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qasemi said on Monday that Iran has officially protested to the US government on the murder of a young Iranian man.

According to the report of Foreign Ministry Media Department, Qasemi said that Foreign Ministry officially protested to the US government for the murder of the young Iranian Bijan Kaiser aged 25 in the US.

In a meeting between director general for American Affairs of Foreign Ministry with Switzerland ambassador to Iran, US interest section office in Tehran, a letter of protest has been submitted to the ambassador, Qasemi added.

Letter of protest pointed to violent and unacceptable act of the US police in shooting at Bijan Kaiser, unarmed Iranian citizen, which killed him on Monday November 27, 2017 in the city of Mc Lain in Virginia State and requested the US government official to explain and clarify on the dimensions of the sorrowful and illegal act, and asked perpetrators to be prosecuted and damages to be compensated for.

The ambassador said that she will transfer the message promptly and will declare its result to Iran Foreign Ministry.
