Trumps advice not to buy oil from Iran having no effects: Oil minister

IRNA US President Donald Trumps urging other countries not to buy oil from Iran has had no effects on the Islamic Republic's export, said Iranian minister of petroleum, Bijan Zangeneh, on Wednesday.

Trump wrote in a statement issued on November 18 that because there is enough supply of oil from other countries, it is possible to limit the purchase of oil and its derivatives from Iran.

According to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) between Iran and G5+1 (UN Security council members + Germany), the US should not hinder facilitation and normalization of economic ties and oil export.

Before the deal, Iran oil export was about one million barrels a day, which increased rapidly reaching 2.5 million barrels.
