Iran discontent with anti-Qatar measures of PG states

MNA Special aide of Iranian Parliament Speaker Amir-Abdollahian told Qatari Ambassador to Tehran, Ali al-Sulaiti, that Iran is discontent with Saudi measures against Qatar.


We are disappointed about the measures undertaken against the government and people of Qatar, said Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the Iranian Special aide of Parliament Speaker on Wednesday after voicing content with the expansion of relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran.

He made the remarks while meeting with Qatari Ambassador to Tehran, Ali bin Ahmed Ali al-Sulaiti, after voicing the readiness of the Iranian parliament for cementing the bilateral ties between the two nations.

We are strongly opposed to bullyism and intimidation in relations with other countries, said the Iranian official during this meeting, We hold that such unilateral measures, in contradiction with international law, will contribute to instability and insecurity in the region.

Saudi measures against Qatar are regarded as a strategic mistake, reiterated Mr. Amir-Abdollahian.

We have proved that we are the rainy days friend of other countries of the region, asserted the Iranian official, the recent events in Qatar and Lebanon demonstrated that the relations of the Islamic Republic of Iran with other countries of the region can prevent the divisive plots and disruptive measures of foreigners in the region.

Voicing regret over forcing Saad Hariri to read a resignation statement in Riyadh, Amir-Abdollahian said, Experience shows that foreign meddling is not for the interests and security of the region and wherever the foreigners have interfered insecurity has lasted for decades.

Qatar has always held respectful relations with Iran and currently these ties shave got into a right track, said Qatari envoy to Tehran for his part.

Pouinting to the course of events in the region, Mr. Ali bin Ahmed Ali al-Sulaiti highlighted that the developments are moving towards a concerning destine.

Qatar has always stood up against threats and pressures and welcomes the path of dialogue for removing misunderstandings, he asserted.

Touching upon the growing ties between Iran and Qatar, Mr. Ali bin Ahmed Ali al-Sulaiti reassured that parliamentary ties between Tehran and Doha is of prime importance for the Persian Gulf emirate.
