IRNA Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif here on Tuesday evening expressed hope that 'kindness and peace' could be established across the world, it was reported Wednesday morning.

Zarif made the remarks while touring the 1st Nimrouz Global Visual Art Exhibition of Afghanistan in Niavaran Cultural Center in Tehran.

'The exhibition showcases some sad experiences,' Zarif said, 'I hope that with the help of arts such bitter experiences turn into sweet ones.'

He also chatted with a group of Afghan artists, while touring the exhibition.

The exhibit takes its name from one of the 34 provinces of Afghanistan, located in the southwestern part of the country.

It has been organized to help the artists of the two countries become acquainted with each others' art and culture, introduce the less known visual arts of Afghan artists and revive the Afghan arts as well as showing them to the younger generations of Afghanistan.

The exhibition started in Tehran on Nov 3 and wraps up on Nov 28.
