The film Beautiful Jinn is currently being filmed in Isfahan Province. It is said that Yesilcay will stay in Iran for five weeks for the shooting.
Based on a post published on the Instagram page of the film producer Mehradad Farid, Yesilcay and Irans celebrated actor Farhad Aslani play the leading roles, Tasnim News Agency reported.
The Turkish actress plays the role of a character named Delaram who is deaf and dumb due to some past trauma.
It can be a very good experience since my character does not speak at all, and I get the chance to use more gestures and mimics, she said about her role.
Yesilcay, 41, studied drama at the State Conservatoire of Anadolu University in Turkey. Since her graduation, she has performed several major roles on stage including Opheila in Hamlet.
Theater aside, she shot to prominence as the lead in, among others, three record-breaking Turkish TV series including Love and Punishment and Broken Pieces.
She made her screen debut in 2001 in The Waterfall. So far, she has appeared in over 20 films and series and won several awards.
