MNA – Iran has signed a contract with Austria on joint cooperation on development of automotive parts technology, executive secretary of the Supreme Council for Science, Research and Technology (ATF) said Monday.

According to Mostafa Kazemi, the contract has been signed between East Azarbaijan Science & Technology Park (EASTP) and Austrian Institute of Technology.

“The contract entails cooperation in the field of development of automotive parts technology,” he said, adding “the first phase of the project kicked off about three months ago at Rab’-e Rashidi Science & Technology Park in Tabriz.”

He added that following the cooperation on automotive parts, the two sides will sign contracts on development of aircraft and helicopter parts.

In this joint workshop, the Iranian automotive parts manufacturers will be exchanging related knowledge with the Austrian side, he said.
