Partition of Islamic states to serve Israel interest: Iraqi politician

IRNA – Head of Iraqi National Alliance Ammar Hakim said the disintegration of Arab and Islamic countries and their domestic armed conflicts would just serve the interests of the Zionist regime.

Touching upon the recent Kurdistan region’s referendum, Hakim said Baghdad would follow the case peacefully and through the legal procedures based on the Constitution of this Arab country.

In a statement released after his meeting with the leaders of Arab countries trade unions, Hakim warned against the evil plots which have targeted the Muslim world.

In related news, Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al Abadi on Thursday (Oct 12) declared that the Iraqi army would not be used against the Kurdish people.

‘We won’t use the army against the people and we won’t wage a war against the Kurds,’ al Abadi said, adding that the Iraqi armed forces were devoted exclusively to providing public security inside Iraq and protecting the country from foreign threats.
