IRNA – Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Baqeri and his Turkish counterpart General Hulusi Akar reviewed regional developments and joint borders security in a meeting held on Monday in Tehran.
The two top military commanders also reviewed previously made agreements between Tehran and Ankara.
Hulusi Akar arrived in Tehran on Sunday night to hold talks with the Iranian officials.
Upon his arrival in Tehran Mehrabad Airport, General Akar and his entourage were welcomed by deputy commander of General Staff of Iranian Armed Forces for international affairs General Qadiri.
The Turkish commander’s visit comes in response to an August visit to Turkey by Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Baqeri.
