IRNA - Irans envoy to the Britain Hamid Baeidinejad said there is no guarantee that the next US president will not call President Donald Trumps changes to the nuclear deal a 'total disaster'.
'Let's assume for the sake of argument that all JCPOA parties accept the US suggestion to renegotiate the text and be able to agree a new deal, what guarantees that the US Congress would accept the changes, or the next US president would not call the new deal a total disaster,' Baeidinejad said in a twitter message on Tuesday.
Donald Trump, US president has to make a decision on whether to withdraw or continue certification of the 2015 nuclear deal by a congressional deadline of 15 October.
If he does not certify the agreement, the Congress would have 60 days to decide whether to reimpose US sanctions.
